Terms of Service

The terms you agree to when you engage North Shore Labs LLC, including the full messaging terms for our text programme.

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of northshorelabs.dev and any service you buy from North Shore Labs LLC ("North Shore Labs", "we", "us"). Using this site, submitting our form, or engaging us for work means you accept them. Where a signed proposal or statement of work says something different, that document wins for that engagement.

2. At-will engagement

North Shore Labs reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or decline any project at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion.

3. Fees, payment and refunds

Fees, what is included, and the billing schedule are what the proposal for your engagement says. Recurring plans continue until cancelled and are billed in advance for each period.

Refunds may be issued at the sole discretion of North Shore Labs. We are not obligated to offer refunds unless otherwise stated in writing. If a project is cancelled by North Shore Labs, a refund may be issued in part or in full, but is not guaranteed.

4. Project timelines

Any stated delivery timeline is an estimate. North Shore Labs is not liable for missed or delayed timelines unless explicitly agreed in writing. Timelines assume your content, approvals and account access arrive when we ask for them; they move when those do.

5. What you supply

You are responsible for the text, images, logos and data you give us, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We rely on that. You also agree not to use anything we build for you to break the law or to send unsolicited messages.

6. Intellectual property

Ownership of final delivered assets transfers to you only after full payment is received. All designs, code and creative assets remain the sole property of North Shore Labs until paid in full. Our own tooling, internal frameworks and methods stay ours.

7. Communication

North Shore Labs primarily communicates by email. Failure to respond to project-related communication within 5 business days may result in cancellation or delay.

8. Text messaging terms

This section is the full disclosure for the North Shore Labs LLC text messaging programme. It applies only if you gave us a mobile number and ticked the consent box, or texted us first.

Programme: North Shore Labs LLC.

How you opt in: by ticking the unticked consent box next to the phone field on our website form, or by sending us a text message yourself. Consent is express, written and opt-in only.

What we send: replies about the enquiry you made, appointment reminders and confirmations, updates about work we are doing for you, and occasional promotional messages about our services and offers. Messages may be sent using automated technology.

Message frequency: varies. It depends on your enquiry and on what is happening with your project.

Cost: we do not charge you for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

To stop: reply STOP to any message from us. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further. You can also email [email protected].

For help: reply HELP to any message from us, or email [email protected].

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can buy anything we sell without agreeing to receive texts, and withdrawing consent does not affect a service you are paying for.

Eligibility: you must be 18 or over, and you must be the account holder for the number you give us or authorised by them to consent.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your handset, and neither we nor your carrier guarantee that every message arrives.

If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, tell us, so that messages meant for you do not reach somebody else.

How we handle your number is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, and mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Third-party services

What we build usually runs on services we do not control — hosting, domains, email delivery, CRM, analytics, payment and AI platforms. We choose them carefully and we are not responsible for their outages, price changes, policy changes or discontinuation. Where a service is billed in your name, that bill is yours.

Nothing we do can guarantee a particular ranking, a particular volume of traffic, or that any search engine or AI system will mention your business. Those systems are outside anyone's control. What we commit to is the work described in your proposal.

10. Results, examples and earnings

Any result, figure, case study, screenshot, revenue number, lead count or return on investment we show you — on this website, in a proposal, in an email or text, on a call, or on social media — is an example of something produced in one particular situation. It is a description of the past. It is not a projection, not a promise, and not a typical outcome.

Your results will be different. What a business gets out of marketing depends on its pricing, its margins, its market, its competitors, its capacity, how quickly it answers the phone, how it treats the customers who come in, the season, and a long list of other things that belong to you and not to us. We cannot know or control any of them.

We do not guarantee any level of revenue, profit, lead volume, ranking, traffic, or return on investment, and nothing we publish should be read as if we had. No result is typical, because there is no typical business.

A figure we quote is what was measured at a point in time. It is not an average, a benchmark or a forecast.

Where a number came from a client rather than from our own measurement, it is theirs, reported as it was given to us.

Rankings, AI answers, review counts and impressions are decided by third-party platforms. We can do the work. We cannot instruct Google.

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax or investment advice.

If a specific number is part of why you are hiring us, ask us in writing where it came from and we will tell you. The only commitments we actually make are the ones written in your proposal, and the proposal is what governs.

11. Disclaimer

Except where a proposal says otherwise in writing, our services and this website are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

Under no circumstances shall North Shore Labs be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our services, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when we last did. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
