Our Story
Ember & Oak was born from a simple belief: that the best meals are the ones shared around a fire. Founded by siblings Marco and Elena Vasquez, our restaurant draws on three generations of family recipes from the Italian countryside and the bold spice traditions of South America.
Every ingredient tells a story. We source directly from farms within 50 miles of our Brooklyn kitchen — heirloom tomatoes from the Hudson Valley, grass-fed lamb from upstate pastures, and seasonal herbs from our own rooftop garden. Our wood-fired oven and open-flame grill are the heart of everything we create.
Our bar program is equally intentional. Head mixologist Sasha Kim crafts cocktails that mirror the kitchen's philosophy — seasonal, locally sourced, and made with house-infused spirits. From smoked old fashioneds to lavender gimlets, each drink is designed to complement the flavors on your plate and the warmth of the evening.
